Are you a good or helpful person?

Karma says:

"Sometimes you have to suffer in life, not because you were bad, but because you didn't realize when to stop being good."

Imagine you see someone drowning. A "good" person, driven by kindness and a sense of duty, might instinctively jump into the water, doing everything they can to save them. But in the chaos—where panic sets in, and survival instincts take over—the struggling person might unintentionally pull them under as well. Now, both are at risk.

A "helpful" person, on the other hand, recognizes the danger and acts with wisdom. Instead of diving in without a plan, they stay on solid ground, anchoring themselves in safety. From there, they throw a lifeline—a rope, a life preserver, or even words of guidance—giving the drowning person the tools they need to help themselves while ensuring that no one else is put in harm’s way.

True help isn’t about sacrificing yourself; it’s about empowering others while maintaining your own stability. Strength and support are most effective when they come from a place of solid footing.

So, ask yourself: Are you diving in blindly, or are you offering a lifeline from a place of strength?
